Kenyir Lake (Tasik Kenyir)

Kenyir Lake, Malaysia's largest lake!!!Why not choose here to relax your mind, which surrounded by the world's oldest tropical rainforest? The 260,000 hectares lake contains 340 islands, with countless pristine cascading waterfalls and rivers from which flows crystal clear water from the surrounding highlands.

I believe not much people know about Kenyir Lake. Kenyir Lake is one of the most magnificent tourist sports in Terengganu as well as in Malaysia. Kenyir luxurious forest is located in the district of Hulu Terengganu, which  45min drive (60km) from the Kuala Terengganu airport. 

The lake is known as a unique tourist destination for her beautiful scenario of tropical forest and widely known for its valuable flora and fauna species. It is believed that the area is the habitat of more than 8000 species of flowers, 2500 species of plants and trees, 8000 species of orchids, 370 species of birds and 300 species of fresh water fish. They live in harmony and in peace in their own natural habitat. 

The Kenyir Lake creates and provides many amenities for total relaxation and enjoyment in a unique environment. Fishing, house boating, trekking, golfing, kayaking, camping, caving, waterfalls bathing etc are some of the recreational activities the place has to offer. Try and enjoy yourself. The traditional nature or kampung style chalets with wooden houses of architectural designs create enlivened and enriched the area surrounding. Getting There

Alternative 1: From Changi Airport, take flight to Kuala Lumpur (LCCT). From Kuala Lumpur, take a flight to Kuala Terengganu. (From Changi, you may choose Tiger Airways or Air Asia. From Kuala Lumpur, you can only travel with Air Asia)

Alternative 2: From Changi Aiport, take flight to Kuala Lumpur (KLIA). From Kuala lumpur, take a flight to Kuala Terengganu. (From Changi, you may choose Silk Air, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines or Jetstar. From Kuala Lumpur, you can only travel with Air Asia)

Alternative 3: Travel by bus. Konsortium, Five Star and Transnasional provide this service direct from Singapore. From Larkin,Johor Bharu, more bus services are provided such as SP Bumi, Transnasional, Maju Ekspress, Adik Beradik, Mara Liner, Shamisha Holiday, Cepat Ekspress and etc.
